Denise Cassano

Inspired by children, who see things that adults can't, Denise Cassano produces dreamlike, often surreal images that tell a story. Her work conveys a strong sense of mood and imagery through color and texture. She has a BA and MS in Art Education from Hofstra University, and has studied art and illustration through NYU in Venice, Italy. Her articles and illustrations have been published in School Arts and Activities Magazine, Horizons Magazine, Science Stories - Teachers and Children as Science Learners, and edutopia.org.
Denise has been an art teacher for over 20 years and currently works in the Scarsdale School District. She is passionate about art, storytelling, and anything creative. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and two adopted dogs.
