A former educator, Shutta Crum studied literature and writing before becoming a children’s librarian. Her special talents as a librarian include bringing stories to life at animated story hours, and conducting writing and poetry workshops for children and adults. In 2002, Shutta was honored for her dedicated work with children and families when she was named Youth Librarian of the Year by the Michigan Library Association Children’s Services division.                                         www.shuttacrum.com
