Rachel Flick Wildavsky is a lifelong writer whose work spans many genres. Her journalism has appeared in The New Republic, Harpers, New York, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, the Reader's Digest, Commentary and other publications. She has written speeches and other documents for Fortune 500 CEOs in a wide variety of industries. She co-wrote and co-edited a literary anthology, Being Human, that was published by W.W. Norton & Co in 2004.
This anthology inspired Wildavsky to attempt fiction. Her first children's novel, The Secret of Rover, will be published by Amulet Books in March, 2011.
Wildavsky is a graduate of the College of the University of Chicago. She has lived almost her whole adult life in or about Washington D.C. Today she and her family live in Chevy Chase, Maryland, a Washington suburb.
