Melissa Wiley is the author of two series of books about the ancestors of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Commissioned by the Wilder estate and published by HarperCollins, these eight middle-grade novels tell the stories of Laura's Scottish great-grandmother, Martha Morse Tucker, and Laura's grandmother, Charlotte Tucker Quiner. Among Melissa's other books are a set of Carmen Sandiego mysteries, a picture book called Hanna's Christmas, and several early readers.
