grew up in Michigan where she received her B. A. in Art History from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Journalism from Michigan State University. She is the author of the popular series BUG BOY and BUG GIRL (Henry Holt) and MY OWN WORST ENEMY (Holiday House), which received rave reviews from Publishers Weekly and Booklist. Other of her titles include MIGHTY BOY (Orchard), a middle grade novel, and ROBOTS RISING (Henry Holt), a nonfiction chapter book. Carol is a freelance journalist for a variety of magazines and newspapers, and lives in State College, Pennsylvania, with her family.
