was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, received her B. A. from Rhodes College and went on to pursue graduate studies at the University of Memphis. Anna studied languages in Austria and Israel, and lived for a short period of time in London. Her varied career has included working as a freelance editor, writing consultant, publications director for a synagogue, and teaching English as a Second Language at the University of Memphis. In 1996 Anna moved to Baltimore, where she taught business writing workshops at the Johns Hopkins University Center of Training and Education. She now lives in New Jersey. Anna’s stories for children often incorporate elements from her childhood in Memphis.
